As an inspirational humorist and storyteller, Al draws on his skills and background as a successful business owner, educator, husband, father, and grandfather.
Al has been inducted into the Speakers Hall of Fame and received the highest honor from his peers in the National Speakers Association when he was presented The Cavett Award. Al was recently presented with the Order of the Palmetto, the highest civilian honor in South Carolina, awarded by Governor Henry McMaster to individuals who have made significant contributions to the state or nation.
Al and his wife, Margaret, also conduct programs together. The energy they bring to any group is engaging and leaves their audiences laughing and wanting more. Margaret's background as a high school English teacher at the SC Department of Juvenile Justice has provided both Al and Margaret with some hilarious examples of human behavior.
