Several years ago, Al listened to a record, that's right, a round vinyl disc as big as a platter,(not a cassette, cd, his iPod, or from a download) of a speaker named Bill Alexander. Reverend Alexander was a pastor in Oklahoma City, like many speakers in the 1950s. He made a comment that jumped off the record into Al's psyche the minute he heard it and has never left. Reverend Alexander said that in order to have a world fit to live in, we needed a self worth living with, and that required a philosophy fit to live by.
