Meeting Planners
We want to help lighten your load and reduce your stress level as much as we can. We really want to be easy to work with. We like to think that once you have booked Al, you will not have to worry anymore about that part of your program!
We do our best to make booking Al easy. Here are a few simple logistical items you can follow when scheduling Al Walker. This checklist provides you with information to help Al present the very best program for your group. Please email us at [email protected] or call our toll-free number, 800-413-8080, if you have any questions.
Al wants all the information you can provide him about your organization and your meeting. He will go to your website, however, any additional material, such as brochures, newsletters, etc., would be helpful. Also, once you have booked Al, please add his name to the mailing list so he will receive the same correspondence the attendees receive. If your communication with your attendees is via email, Al's email address is [email protected]
Al prefers a wireless lapel microphone. If that is not available a wireless hand held will work. In a workshop format, AL may use PowerPoint - depending on the size of your group and the length of the program. He usually travels with a Flash Drive which means, in most cases, he may need a projector and a screen.
Depending on the size of the group, the kind of function and type of seating, Al prefers to work on a podium (riser) at the front of the room so that everyone at the meeting will have an unobstructed view. If a lectern is used because others will be on stage, Al can work with that, or he will need a small table for some of his "stuff". We will let you know if a podium is not necessary. The shorter the distance between the podium and the audience, the better the meeting.
For a workshop, Al may wish to use a table-top or standing lectern. Please have one available. He will also need a table in the front of the room for his materials.
In order to insure the quality of Al's presentation with the least amount of interruption, please ask your attendees to turn off or silence their cell phones during his program.
Please remember to bring Al's introduction with you to the meeting. (Don't panic if you forget! AL always brings a copy with him.) Ask whoever is doing the introduction to rehearse it and read it pretty much like it is written. If they know Al and want to add some personalization to the introduction that is perfectly ok. We all know a good introduction will gain the audience's complete attention, energize them and and help get the speaker started off on the right foot.
